Quik-Grid (TM)
When encountering the scene of surface skeletal remains, it is necessary to establish a search grid around the remains. Previously, this was accomplished by sectioning four corner posts a set distance apart, being careful to make sure the corners were 90 degrees. Then, it was necessary to place additional stakes equal distances apart along all four sides. The investigator would then have to string the stakes, making grid squares within the basic square or rectangle. This was labor intensive and time consuming.
Quik-Grid (TM) allows a single crime scene investigator to assemble and place the pre-made Quik-Grid (TM) over the area to be worked in a matter of minutes.
Quik-Grid (TM) lets the crime scene investigator devote time to working the scene and less time preparing to.
It can be used on any flat surface, the ground or against a vertical surface, to grid and document the evidence.
